Is Debt Advice Completely Totally Free?

Filed under: Finance Information — admin at 7:43 am on Thursday, July 31, 2008

Due to the credit crunch there are an ever larger overall number of debt consolidation companies currently offering cost free debt advice. Most businesses genuinely offer cost free no strings debt advice. What is not clear is whether these organisations are giving good value with reference to their service and the advice they provide?

The truth is the majority of clients fail to fully grasp the different products and services regards debt and debt consolidation generally. If customers did understand then they would have no need for support from professional debt managers.

Debt counselling companies are regulated by government agencies to try and make sure they are correctly trained and respect customer confidentiality. The problem is that it is not possible to scrutinise or demonstrate a given companies rational when offering free advice. When all is said and done can a government inspector know whether debt advice has been offered in the best interests of the client or whether, instead, the kind of services offered were swayed by the bottom line?

Identifying objective debt advice often takes some time. Regardless of this shopping around for the best service is essential for debt management services. Individuals shouldn’t simply go with the first debt adviser that they speak to.

The long and short of it is such companies are trying to make a profit, this can result in ethical problems between the client and the debt management company. Income is made by passing debtors on to different companies or by taking setup costs from companies to whom monies are owed. Because of this it is difficult to properly understand how thoroughly such companies are actually representing their customers. The main worry is that these debt counselling businesses will actually give guidance to clients was motivated by their own profits as opposed to offering the best solution to the client.

Work at Home Income Opportunities

Filed under: Market — admin at 4:46 pm on Tuesday, July 29, 2008

There are a number of reasons people want to work at home. Perhaps they’re tired of the nine-to-five business routine and the time - and money - spent commuting to and from the office. Perhaps they’re stay at home moms who want to supplement the family’s income while still being available to the kids when they come home from school. Maybe they’re retired, but are looking for some supplemental income. Whatever the reason one wants to work at home, the Internet is providing exponentially more income opportunities than the more traditional work-at-home choices.

Traditional network marketing or multilevel marketing involves direct sales of products. That means networking with friends and acquaintances and convincing them to open their homes - and their address books - in order for you to sell your products. Because most of these gatherings occur in the evening, direct sales can work at cross-purposes for those who want to work at home in order to spend more time with their families. Plus, to generate a significant income in direct sales, you not only have to sell product but you also have to sell the opportunity. In other words, you have to sign up others to become direct sellers.

The new economy - that is, the Internet economy - gives those who want to work at home income opportunities that allow them to spend as much or as little time on their computers as they wish and still generate revenue. Through Internet marketing and website promotion, people can generate a significant revenue stream very quickly. This can take the form of affiliate programs, self-replicating websites, online advertising, and web marketing.

Some of those who have started up an Internet business - not to sell a product or service, but simply to generate revenue from others’ businesses and Internet advertising - have found that they have created an automatic money machine. They can work at home, marketing and advertising their own websites to others, and collect commissions in the process.

For those who want to work at home in an Internet business, it’s important to affiliate with reputable companies. Look for a proven track record, and be wary of those that require a significant investment in order to take advantage of the income opportunities. It’s helpful to look at all of the business opportunities that are available and talk to others who have tried them. When you find those that have provided a good return on the investment of time and money, and can verify their legitimacy, your dream of being able to work at home may very well come true.

Sunless Tanning Products That Work

Filed under: Market — admin at 2:37 am on Monday, July 28, 2008

As summer approaches any people (especially young adults) start to think about the awesome sun tan they plan on obtaining in the coming summer months. In theory it sounds great - I mean who doesn’t want to develop a deep rich looking suntan that helps to show off their good looks! Sun tanning is an extremely popular pastime for many of our young adults but unfortunately there are always a few that over do their sun enjoying and absorbing efforts resulting in a painful condition known as sunburn. Not only is this condition extremely painful but it can also have deadly consequences later on in life. There are many ways to achieve a tan without having to expose your body and skin cells to the harmful rays of the sun. The idea of sunless tanning originated sometime n the 1960’s with the advent of the first sunless tanning lotion. Since that time many companies have developed their own products and methods of obtaining a real colorful looking suntan without the harmful affects of the sun. Let’s explore some in the next few paragraphs.

There are many popular brands of what’s known as a self tanning lotion. These self tanners come in the form of a cream or foam type application. There are also some spray on types of sunless tanning lotions that help you get a tanned body without harmful exposure to the direct rays of the sun. Airbrushing is another popular method of acquiring a sun less tan. This sunless tanning mist works due to the ingredient DHA (which is recognized and acknowledged as a potent sunless tanning chemical). Dihydroxyacetone (DHA) is a sugar that is colorless but when applied to the body produces a nice tanning affect that generally lasts anywhere from 7 to 10 days before eventually fading. Many of these airbrush tanning misters also contain aloe vera as a substance in their composition.

Tanning pills are another viable option that many would be tan seekers have resulted to trying. They are comprised of canthaxanthin which is a pigment based product. Be careful when using these types of self tanning products to alter your skin cell color as they have been known to have some rather alarming side effects such as hepatitis and turning your skin an orange incarnation instead of the dark golden brown color that many tanners seek.

No matter what method of sunless tanning you prefer to use they all suffer from a short duration of effect. This means that several applications and reapplications will be needed in order to maintain your tanned condition through the long summers. Finally, although you may look tan you can still suffer from the sun’s harmful rays and receive a painful sunburn because the sunless tanning products only work on the top layer of the epidermis or skin cell structure. The sun’s rays actually tan your body all the way down to the lowest or deepest level of your skin’s cellular composition.

12- COPYWRITING TIPS TO MAKE YOUR ADVERTISING MORE PROFITABLE…

Filed under: Market — admin at 3:04 pm on Sunday, July 27, 2008

© Copyright 2004 Thom Reece All Rights
Reserved

Year after year people make the same mistakes in
direct-response copy and advertising. You can avoid the most
common and costly blunders by following these proven
tips…

1. WRITE IN DIRECT-RESPONSE
LANGUAGE:

  • Use short paragraphs and short words.
This article has 68% short words-five letters or less. Strive
for at least 65%-75%. Never go under 50% unless you are writing
    to Ph.D’s.

  • Make your sentences and paragraphs flow like a breeze.

  • Ignore good grammar when you have a good reason.

  • Keep the bucket brigade going: Start paragraphs with And,
    But, So you see, However…

  • Use the freshest concepts and the most colorful language
you can without disturbing the flow.

  • Use hot words: free, profit, new, now, secret, easy, save,
guarantee, today… and the hottest word of all: YOU!

  • Use bullets… lots of them.
2. WRITE LOTS OF
HEADLINES.

Always think up dozens of alternative headlines. Put your
strongest benefits in them and test your best alternatives. When
writing headlines for web sites make sure they include key
search words and phrases along with the benefits.

3. DROP THE WARM-UPS…

You’ll destroy your entire letter/ad by starting off, “As a
homeowner, you know how maintenace costs are climbing every
day…
“. Take your first draft and try cutting out the first
two to three paragraphs… you’ll usually find the real “meat”
starts to appear in your copy after you have started to
“warm-up” to the writing.

4. STAND OUT.

Separate yourself from the competition as clearly as you can.
Discover, isolate, and dramatize all the reasons for doing
business wity you…today…, instead of your competitor. Build
your entire package or ad around these reasons (benefits).

5. SELL BENEFITS, NOT FEATURES.

Readers don’t buy products or features of products. They buy the
benefits-of-use of the product or features. Be humble
enough to realize that a buyer will not give you one red cent
for any product or feature until you convert the features into
benefits-of-use.

6. LEARN TO GIVE.

Most advertisers and charities think of direct response strictly
as a device to “get”. Unfortunately, most readers also want to
get. So, to succeed, you must adopt a “give” attitude… beyond
what you offer in the product or service. Give them something
immediately in your ad, your letter, your web page. Give them
news, business tips, interesting stories, resources, freebies,
special deals.

7. USE TESTIMONIALS.

They’re proof that you’re as good as you say you are, and that
you’ll do what you say will do. Like…

“I increased profits by $100,000 last year using your
services…”

Joe Smith, President, Smith Corporation

The more specific the testimonial the more power it has.
Give full attributions whenever possible. Testimonials give you
believability and credibility. You can’t do
successful direct-response without these two essential factors.

8. OFFER A MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE.

Whatever you are selling, make sure you offer a money-back
guarantee. It’s a critical factor in getting someone to send in
their monty to someone they don’t know or maybe never heard of.

9. CREDIT CARDS, TOLL FREE NUMBERS.

Credit card purchases and
toll-free “800″ numbers can increase your response by as much as
50% to 400%. If you’re on the web make sure you opt for secure
on-line transmission (SSL) of credit card orders… or allow
other means for your customer to provide their credit
information to you.

10. ASK FOR ACTION.

It’s amazing how often otherwise good copy never gets around to
asking for the order. If you don’t ask for action… you
won’t get any
.

11. BUDGET YOUR TIME.

Devote about one third of your writing time to the lead
elements, headline, subheads, teasers, opening paragraphs.

12. KEEP CURRENT.

Direct-response is more scientific than other types of
advertising. Like any fast-moving science, it has it’s
discoveries daily. This is especially true of writing for the
Internet/World Wide Web. Subscribe to industry trade journals
such as Target Marketing, DM News, Direct, and other relevant
publications.

Microdermabrasion Treatment Offers Dramatic Results

Filed under: Market — admin at 3:14 am on Friday, July 25, 2008

Microdermabrasion is a procedure that improves skin condition. It is effective at reducing fine lines, fine wrinkles, small scars such as acne scars (although it is not effective on deep wrinkles or deep scars), and age spots. Microdermabrasion works by emitting tiny (micro) crystals that polish (abrasion) the skin (derma). This stimulates the production of collagen and other skin cells that make the skin look healthier. The treatment sessions last for about an hour but several must be done every few weeks. Microdermabrasion does not have a permanent effect, but it has other benefits that recommend it above other skin rejuvenation techniques.

First, it has virtually no side effects. Immediately after the procedure is done, the patient is able to go about his or her life without restricting time spent in the sunlight. Second, it is a non-surgical procedure so it can be done quickly (which has given rise to calling microdermabrasion a “lunch peel”) and without anesthetic. Furthermore it works on all types and colors of skin. Unlike other skin treatments, there will not be negative effects on skin pigmentation because of microdermabrasion. People with skin types that are not suitable of these other procedures can safely undergo microdermabrasion without worrying about the negative side effects.

Bill Gates: Still the World’s Richest Do-gooder

Filed under: Market, Radicals and Others — admin at 4:01 pm on Wednesday, July 23, 2008

From 1995 through 2008, William Henry Gates III Microsoft cofounder Bill Gates to most anyone had been the world’s richest being. Warren Buffet and Carlos Slim Helu have now dethroned him. Apparently, the world’s most famous geek virtually flushed away his fortune to benefit those in the bowels of the planet.

Granted, his fall was largely caused by Microsoft’s bid for Yahoo! early this year but in hindsight, the visionary aims of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation required much of his wealth. Still, Bill Gates is rich today as much as he is charitable, his foundation still flooring the world’s charities with $37.6 billion in assets. Bill could try building space crafts to sate some boyhood fantasies but he financed large-scale initiatives in health and education instead.

Under his stead, Microsoft alone has donated more than $3 billion for technologically handicapped people. Every quarter of the year, Gates has sold 20 million of his shares in the firm, only to trickle down to the foundation.

A stingier person would probably turn his back to all these and recoup all the fruits of a company that irretrievably realigned the face of civilization. But hell no, Bill Gates is pushing his altruistic luck this year he will depart from Microsoft and become a full-time philanthropist. For one, he vows to eradicate all the world’s leading diseases during his lifetime.

In a world of superlatives, Bill Gates might just be a cautionary tale for greedy types, that is. If altruism were counted in figures, Bill Gates looks like he isn’t ready to pass the baton just yet.

Ruaha National Park: Tanzania

Filed under: Market — admin at 3:46 pm on Wednesday, July 23, 2008

This park is sometimes know as Giraffe Park as it has in excess of 8,000 Maasai giraffe. The outstanding Kudu is also prolific in this park and when surprised this animal will stand as a statue, blending perfectly into the background. It has been known for visitors to the park to drive right up to the Kudu before seeing it.

Access to the park is by light aircraft; or by tarmac road and is reached over the Rubeho Mountains. Descending to the Ruaha River offers views along the Ruaha Gorge and the first thing to strike visitors as they enter this area is the profusion of the unusual and huge baobab trees. Although in general the park is covered by Combertum woodland with a thinning out to acacia.

The rare and endangered African hunting dog are fairly common in Ruaha. Known as the painted wolf [Lycaon Pictus] these endangered animals are sociable if not noisy and it is a real treat to see them whilst on a safari drive in the park.

Ruaha is probably the most arid of Tanzania’s parks. It is the most southerly extension of the Maasai Steppes. The Great Ruaha River bisects the park. The flora and fauna of southern Africa overlaps with the distinctive east African species; to see greater and lesser Kudu as well as sable and roan in one park is part of the attraction of Ruaha. There is a rich selection of plain animals, predators and Elephants in this park.

As in most areas of Tanzania bird life here is spectacular. The park is known for large numbers of the rare Eleanor’s falcons from December to January. Over 456 species of birds have been identified to date with new species discovered every year. January to May is the best time to visit this park for bird and butterfly collectors; otherwise October to November is warmer and recommended if a bird safari is not on the agenda.

Few visitors visit this park. Although in recent years visitors to Tanzania have begun to succumb to the Southern Circuit Parks and in particular the magic of Ruaha.

Doing Business in India - Business and Culture

Filed under: Market — admin at 2:39 pm on Wednesday, July 23, 2008

When looking at a country from another cultural background, you tend to wear a kind of “cultural eyeglasses.” You often interpret everything from your own cultural conditioning. Things may seem irrational, frustrating, or upsetting, simply because of that conditioning. This is fertile ground for future conflicts in many areas. To me, culture is an iceberg, where the main force is resting beneath the surface.

There are two major, typical miscalculations foreign corporations tend to make when they approach the Indian market.

First, they tend to feel that because culture is intangible and it does not show itself in the bottom line, they do not need to waste their time on that issue.

Second, they may think that culture is like marketing or finance: you learn about culture in India in a four or eight hour session and that is all you need to know. Then you are free to continue with your job since you are adequately sensitized to the culture.

It is important to really appreciate Indian culture. The main reason for this is that if conflict arises, it will give them a much better perspective on understanding the source of the conflict and resolving it. Still, many foreign businesses tend to put everything in a “black box.” If a problem occurs, for example, with castes or religion, here are the solutions - one, two, three, four. In reality, it is not as simple as that.

If foreign visitors can learn to appreciate cultural issues and understand the cultural background of their Indian partner, then they will have a much better understanding of the general problems which arise in doing business. They will be able to look at a problem and consider all the variables that are affecting the particular situation, and then go about and seek a solution for it.

Understanding the totality of the big picture will considerably empower Western companies to be successful in India. Foreign representatives need to understand that accepting the Indian culture (without wanting to change it) is quintessential. A day-long program, for example, is inadequate, even though the manager may feel sufficiently culturally sensitized. For a long run, the best advice is an immersion in a fascinating, maybe at times distressing, Indian culture.
