Mountain Hiking

The next time you’re looking for adventure, think ‘mountain hiking.’ Just picture it…there you are, at the foot of a majestic mountain. Your head is telling you it would be impossible to accomplish a trek up this mighty mountain, but your heart is telling you, just do it! You can do it! And so you start making your way up this big beast of earth, all the while saying to yourself, I think I can… I think I can.

We all have the need deep within our spirit to climb mountains. For some of us, our mountain may entail writing a novel, or swishing our way down the Alps in Switzerland, but for the rest of us, the challenge of mountain hiking on an actual mountain, and making it all the way up to the peak, is a dream of a lifetime. We need to keep reminding ourselves that our mountain doesn’t have to be Kilimanjaro. We don’t need quite so daunting a destiny as that, even a small mountain would do, and we would still have something to write home about.

But please don’t approach this feat with reckless abandon. A carefully planned trip is in order, to make it all the way up to the top. You will need some top quality hiking boots, for starters. And don’t forget to pack plenty of water in your backpack. A few high protein snacks will help get you through your mountain hiking adventure as well. Just remember - in order to experience the heights of nirvana in your newfound adventure, you must feed yourself physically as well as spiritually. Don’t forget your camera, and if you think of it, send me a picture. That’s probably as close to mountain hiking as I will ever be.
