Gee You Smell Nice: Perfume

Filed under: Plugging Things — admin at 9:08 pm on Monday, June 30, 2008

What thoughts cross your mind when a person passes by you and a sweet fragrance wafts in to activate your olfactory organs? Doesn’t it instantly make you think positively about the person and about his/her attractiveness? Do you not wish that the person lingered near you a little longer so that you could just smell in the fragrance a little longer? May be you say to yourself, “I need to have this perfume” if the person is of the same gender as yours. Alternatively, may be you say to yourself, “Hey, wait a minute. I know this perfume. It’s xxxx and my friend used this.”

Perfumes are liquids that are mixtures of essential oils and aroma compounds. Perfumes add a pleasant smell to the body or an object where they are applied. Applying perfume prevents the unpleasant smell of body odor reaching others, spreads a fragrant smell and makes people more attractive to the opposite sex. Perfumes are available in different categories like deodorant, cologne, after-shave lotions and hanky sprays etc. However, essentially their purpose remains the same - to permeate a pleasant smell. There are people who like certain perfumes so much that their choice of partners often is decided by the perfumes they like. For some people the smell of perfumes is a huge turn on.

Perfumes are extracted from flowers, fruits, woods, seeds and animals. Generally, extracts from flowers and fruits are used in the preparation of perfumes for women. Perfumes extracted from woods and animals are targeted at men. Some celebrities endorse perfumes as well, which make these perfumes even more popular. There are perfumes that bear the signature of celebrities like David Beckham, Cher, Paris Hilton, Jennifer Lopez and others. There are many perfume producers and most notable the perfumes from the Middle East are unique for their smooth and lingering fragrance.

The perfume you use can make an impression on others. So why not select the best one that your money could buy.

Viral Markering Part I

Viral Marketing - Secrets Revealed - Part I

Viral Marketing means to give away ebooks and e-articles freely
so that it spreads like a virus exponentially. In the ebooks and
e-articles, we give links to our site and a short bio or
resource box declaring who we are.

It is also known as the Pull Strategy of Marketing. The Resource
box at the bottom contains the link to our site. Provided the
article is good, the reader of that article clicks on our site
address and comes to our site. We have, in other words, pulled
him/her to our site via our article. We also provide our email
address. The reader can click and contact us at any time.

The article proclaims that we know the subject and we will be
considered experts in our field if we write good e-articles and
e-books and distribute them. Some people find it difficult to
distribute them freely. After all creating an e-article or an
ebook is time consuming. So what is the advantage in
distributing them free? But if you want the much needed exposure
which is crucial to business success, better give it away!

” Be an expert with your own booklet ” is what the marketing
geniuses proclaim. If you write a booklet about the subject you
are dealing using technical terms, people will definitely ask
you about the terms and the subject in general. Answer their
questions and they will respect your knowledge and expertise.

Write Articles

The mantra on the Net is ‘Publish or Perish’. The Net is defined
as the Information Encyclopaedia. It is a repository of free
information and resources.

You can write on the subject which deals with your area of
expertise. The main ingredients of content creation are
Research, knowledge, skill and style.

Research

Read books on the subject. You can go to search engines and type
the subject that deals with your area of expertise. You can
subscribe to other ezines which deal with that subject. And thus
study more about the subject.

All information is available on the Net. All you have to do is
to go to the search engines and group lists and find out
information about your subject.

Knowledge

You have heard the proverb ” Knowledge is Power”. There are many
types of knowledge. Technical knowledge, marketing knowledge,
knowledge of language etc. We have to be accepted by the target
audience. For this we should convince our customers that we are
experts in our field. Be a specialist first, then be an expert
and then be an authority, a self-development expert used to say.
If you know more than your competitors, definitely you have a
competitve edge over your competition. If you can establish that
you are a scholar in your field and is head and shoulders above
your competition in knowledge, they will come in droves. Why
should they go to somebody who is less knowledgeable?

So it is imperative to develop professional knowledge, to study
more and more about the subject we are dealing with, even though
it is time-consuming. Remember on the Net, there are so many
scholars in various fields, each claiming to be experts in their
field. On the Web, the competition is fierce and is only a click
away. So our chances of survival are bright if only we are
equipped with the latest knowledge in our field. The customers
are not fools and they will evaluate us as well as our
competition.

Skill

Writing skill does not come all of a sudden. Writing is
basically intuitively inspired and comes from within. But this
creative talent is in all of us. We have not tapped this divine
resource fully. If we give ourselves to Meditation and lapse
into silence, we can see that this talent blossoms of its own.
Age is not a factor for we see Goethe wrote “The Faust” at the
age of eighty and Chaucer wrote “The Canterbury Tales” at sixty!

Start by writing whatever you feel about the subject you are
handling in your diary. Group these small bits of information.
When you assemble these tiny bits of info and arrange them, you
will be surprised to know that you have written an article.
Improve on what you have written. Let it take some days and
after some days of improvisation, you will come to know it has
become a great article.

It so happened to me. The first article I wrote was about Astro
Numerology and I sent it to some friends. They hailed it as a
great article. This was a great boost to my morale. I started an
ezine, the Z Files and published my own articles which was well
received by the multitude. This furthur boosted my confidence. I
then submitted my articles to the ezines which deal with
Astrology. The publishers thanked me and published my articles.
My hits trebled. Now I have many requests from publishers to use
my articles in their Site or Zine.

Style

Every man has a style of talking and a way of writing. We have
not written much and that is why we are not aware of our hidden
talents. If you start writing simple ideas in your diary and
then later expand these ideas, you will be stunned to see that
you are an excellent writer. Just imagine what would have
happened if Dante had not written the Divine Comedy or
Shakespeare had not written his dramatic poems! Where would
English Literature be without these gems ?

The pen is mightier than the sword. The ink of the scholar is
holier than the blood of the martyr! Write yourself to glory!
Write yourself to fame ! Writing can take you from obscurity to
omnipresence!

How to Make a Fortune from Unique ‘Resistance-free’ Advertising

Filed under: Plugging Things — admin at 5:02 pm on Thursday, May 22, 2008

One of the most powerful offers you can use in your advertising is the word Free.

But, you may well ask… how can I make a profit giving my products and services away without charging for them?

Which is the exact reason why you need to understand the ‘LVC Formula’ which stands for the Lifetime Value of a Client!

Here’s how it works. Let’s imagine for a moment you own a beauty salon. Now if you get a new customer, they may pay you $80 for their first treatment.

But how much is this $80 client really worth?

After all, most clients will continue to buy off you for many years to come.

For instance, let’s imagine your average client returns for a beauty treatment 8 times a year… and remains a client for 2 years.

$80 (price of consultation) x 8 (purchases a year) x 2 (number of years)

Now if you have a calculator handy, you’ll work out the value of this client as $1280.00.

And if your profit margin is 40% this calculates to a $512 profit per client.

Let’s imagine we sent a letter to all the nearby businesses offering women a free manicure valued at $30.00 (I’m not a beauty therapist, so please forgive me if all these figures are way out).

And if the manicure costs you $7 in products and 30 minutes of your time (which if you’re not busy… you’d just be sitting on your butt anyway!)

So effectively the $7 investment could have just made you $512 in profit.

And how easy is it to give away a free manicure?

Or for other industries…

A free car service

A free dancing lesson

A free consultation

A free ice cream

A free report of some sort

The secret lies in giving away something which has a high perceived value, but actually costs you very little to produce.

Why does it work so well?

Using the word ‘Free’ in your advertising STOPS inertia. You see, people are happy with their current hairdresser… or their mechanic.

But when they get an opportunity to trial a product or service for FREE - there’s something irresistible and risk free about it, isn’t there?

A word of warning though. Make sure you offer the best possible service… otherwise people will not come back, and you’ll get a bad name very quickly.

And of course, where possible, make sure you collect a database… and measure your results.

What could you offer for FREE? Write down a few ideas now… and start implementing this stuff.

It could have an almost overnight effect on your sales.

How to Publish Your Own Newslettr

Filed under: Plugging Things — admin at 9:11 pm on Saturday, May 17, 2008

HOW TO PUBLISH YOUR OWN NEWSLETTER

With the expansion and diversion of businesses, manufacturers,
and even hobbyists into more and more specialized areas of
endeavor, there is an increasing need for more information. And
newsletters are the high profit way to cash in on that market
for specialized information.

You can write and produce your own newsletter from home with a
low overhead and potential for high returns. Many newsletter
subscriptions range from $25 to $100 per year, some much higher.
Even a thousand subscribers will bring in huge earnings.

There are no tried and true methods of making a newsletter
successful, but if you investigate the market thoroughly, and
are cautious in your moves, you can make a break-even profit
turn into a sound income year after year.

You don’t have to be a famous business consultant or an insider
on the stock market to produce a newsletter. There are many that
cater to all types of sports, crafts, health, housing or money
making.

The most important aspect of creating a successful newsletter is
the market. You need to research who will buy the subscription
and how much they are willing to pay. But there are sound
methods of testing the market so you can be sure to come out
ahead and establish yourself in the field.

If you have a special interest that has a broad following, you
might find that a newsletter will be readily accepted and
flourish.

What interests or hobbies have you been involved with that can
make a lively income for you? If you follow the steps and
carefully consider your market, there is no reason why you can’t
get into the newsletter business too. And you can MAKE IT WORK.

WHAT IS A NEWSLETTER? A newsletter is a special timely report on
a single subject. It is a personalized, concise statement from
an expert or person thoroughly familiar with a specialized
field. Newsletters are maintained solely by subscriptions; there
is no advertising. Most are printed within low budget means,
typewritten, from two to eight pages.

The specialized information in newsletters is current, and
usually cannot be found elsewhere. They are a logical extension
to trade journals and magazines.

Aimed at a select group, they often contain the inside
information in the field, hot tips or news scoops that become
old news in publications of the trade.

Newsletters are not distributed by newsstands, nor are they
meant for the mass market. In fact, the average number of
potential readers of newsletters in any one field is relatively
small.

Because of their specific information, newsletters can command a
high subscription fee. Businesses can afford to spend the money
to offer executives top-rate inside information.

There are hundreds of newsletters now being published and
distributed in the United States. But there is room for hundreds
more. Because of the specialized market, there is often little
competition among newsletters, and THERE IS A RISING TREND
TOWARDS SUBSCRIBING.

WHY ARE NEWSLETTERS POPULAR? With all the print media and visual
communications in this country, you might think there is a
saturated market. And that is true when it comes to general
interest mass market publications.

However, the need for specific information in specialized fields
is constantly increasing. How can I beat the competition? How
does the world news affect my industry? Will a union strike on
the other side of the world raise our prices?

The focus of the newsletter is success. Success in business,
success in hobbies, success in health and happiness. The
information contained in the newsletters motivates readers to
follow the advice. What are the best investments? Where are the
trade shows? How can I get an edge on winning contests?

There is an endless need for specific knowledge in every field
of endeavor. Since there is a high standard of competition
within every aspect of our modern life, people search for ways
to be in the know, and use that information effectively.

One of the reasons subscription prices can stay high is because
people are paying for the knowledge and what might be gained by
it. If a two hundred dollar newsletter saves a company thousands
of dollars in excellent advice, then it is well worth the price.

WHAT IT TAKES You can start a newsletter by yourself; you don’t
need a large staff. A desk at home, a typewriter and a telephone
are all the basic tools you need to creat a newsletter. Even
when you get into comupterized labels and mass mailings, you
still will not need a large space.

You don’t need to invest a lot of money to begin a simple
newsletter. You may need to put a little out for advertising for
subscribers or mailings to introduce your product. And you may
need to spend some money on getting the first newsletter
printed.

But, if your subscription list builds properly, you’ll be able
to earn back your initial investments quickly - with some left
over.

WHAT TO WRITE ABOUT The topic you choose has got to be your
major interest. You’ll be living with it day in and day out for
years, so you need to be devoted to the subject. Usually, it’s
not hard. You probably already have a chosen field of endeavor,
or have developed a keen interest in a special hobby or sport.
Writing a newsletter is only one more way to demonstrate your
interest.

Read any newsletters you can find. What do they talk about? How
much do they cost? How long have they been in business? You
might want to talk to the publishers of a few to find out how
they started and what troubles they encountered. Consider paying
them a consulting fee to help you get on your way.

Take a look at all the trade magazines of the topic you’d like
to work with. Find out if there are any newsletters already
existing in that field. But don’t worry - there is usually room
for more if you keep to another aspect of the business or
endeavor.

Keep up with the current trends in health, money, sports, or
social events and styles. What’s new with the young people? Or
the elderly? There are many retired people actively pursuing
hundreds of various interests. How can you tap into that market?

WHO WILL BUY? The first place to test your newsletter is with
associates and colleagues. And, you don’t need their
sub-scription - just their input. What do they think about your
ideas? How much would they pay for a newsletter delivered to
their office or home on the subjects that are vital to them?

The target you’re aiming at is simply, anyone who will benefit
from the information you have. Not only are people in a specific
profession hungry for news, but there are people in all sorts of
related jobs and organizations seeking specialized knowledge.

Everyone is interested in making or saving money. Although you
don’t have to focus on investments - there are many such
newsletters already - you can point out the benefits of your
inside tips on how to find the easiest, or the least expensive,
or direct-to-the-source methods of attaining materials for
pursuits or sports.

Generally, you have a small audience target - about thirty to
fifty thousand people. But even a small percentage of that
target will make your newsletter profitable.

Extremely successful topics are new trends where people can’t
get enough information. Manufacturers, advertisers and
entrepreneurs are all searching for the new to exploit.
Depending on the subject you choose, tap into those potential
subscribers.

SUCCESS IS YOURS Writing and publishing a newsletter is a
challenging and exciting way to express yourself. And it will
give you prestige and acknowledgment in the community.

You can start the business with virtually no overhead and a
small amount of capital, and you can build up to making profits
in the six-figure bracket.

A newsletter has a market, and the people who subscribe to it
will pay high prices for the information you have. Tap into the
market and reap those profits.

There’s no news you can’t find out about, and there’s no
industry or type of endeavor in this country today that doesn’t
have a large group of enthusiasts. How can you find out what
they want to know? This is a place to use your resources and use
your background.

The actual task of researching, writing, and having a newsletter
published is easy. There are no secrets or special tricks or
skills you need besides a good nose for the best prices. What is
important is coming up with an idea for a newsletter that will
sell to a select group who has no specialized information
presently available in that or in a similar form.

You’ve probably got your ideas already. Well, go ahead. Make up
a sample newsletter and pass it around. Get a good response? A
small sampling is only a good indication that the rest will like
it too. Success is around the corner.

If you need specialized LEGAL advice or assistance on this
subject, the services of a professional person is recommended.

7 Affiliate Success Steps

How to get your business exposed for free!

Everybody in the Internet marketing industry intends to do well,
but the truth is that only about 10% of marketers actually
succeed. So today you will learn about the tips that will point
you in the right direction to make you big profits.

I am not going to guarantee that you will make those profits, I
don’t know if you will even follow these steps properly. What I
do know is that these same methods are used by the guru’s of
internet marketing. Here are the methods that will get you
exposed:

1. Niche. Not only do you need to have an attractive uncluttered
site, but it should be a site of only 1 common niche. For
example if you decide to promote a home business opportunity,
then the website that your customer is directed to should be a
page of only home business opportunities, information and offers
of that subject.

2. Contact. If you have a list, Contact It! If you let your list
sit there, your leads will disappear and you won’t sell a thing.
People need to be reassured that there is a real live person out
there that will help them. When your leads ask questions, answer
them to the best of your ability and be honest.

3. Write. Write an article about something you have knowledge
of. It doesn’t have to be about your website. If you want more
information about your subject, use the internet to get
information. After all that is what the world wide web is all
about. Your article should be about 1000 words (or so) long. For
more tips enter “article writing in your search engine and there
you have it.

4. Submit. To submit your article all you have to do is enter
article submission into your search engine and submit your
article copy to as many publishers as you possibly can. Make
sure that you include a byline or authors box at the end of your
article. It will generally be a sentence or very short paragraph
about your business, including a link to the website. (note the
authors box at the end of this article). This is totally free
advertising that gets you into the search engines.

5. Linking. Another excellent and free method is adding your
link to other peoples sites. All you have to do is enter the
subject of your business into the search engine ie. “work at
home” or “internet marketing”. The search engine will list the
relevant items and all you have to do is find a link in each
website that says submit your link and follow the directions.
Some sites will require you to trade links with them, all you
have to do is copy and paste their link to your webpage. If you
can’t do that yet, that’s okay there are still plenty that don’t
ask this of you. Spend an entire day doing this, your efforts
will pay off.

6. Forums. Next step is to join forums or discussion boards. Not
only will you learn heaps from them but, you will have the
opportunity to help others too. This is also a really good and
discreet way to advertise. You will earn respect and have people
coming back for more. When you post in a forum, you are involved
in very highly targeted crowd, and when you contact them you
leave your information in your signature (including your website
address) for the world to see. Just be aware that most forums do
not allow you to advertise your business. Don’t disregard their
policy as you will only get your self booted from the sites for
life.

7. Search Engines. You might have noticed that we use the search
engines for a great deal of our work. They would have to be one
of the best inventions on the internet! Use them…..find your
submission sites, forums and places to link your site, find info
for your article etc….You will soon notice that your articles
are listed in the search engines which can only gain you more
and more traffic at absolutely no cost.

There are a number of ways to expose your business without
spending a dime. Not only are they free but they will give you
more targeted traffic then you can possibly handle, if done
right. Don’t get me wrong, I am not promising you the road to
wealth. As I said before I can’t be sure that you will follow
these steps correctly. But what I do know is that they actually
work, without using them you basically have no hope at making a
profit.

This flat screen television, the Hitachi Plasma Half Life 55-HDM71, performs sharply and smoothly. With its high resolution of 1366 x 768, this plasma flat TV can’t be beat. There is 20% more picture on this 55″ screen than there is on a standard 50″ screen. The 10 bit image processing on Hitachi Plasma Half Life 55-HDM71 brings a vibrant picture with 1.07-billion color capability and great contrast, which makes it perform like a smaller television.

Aside from the screen capabilities, this Hitachi plasma flat TV also includes extension modes, full serial control, and a 20-watt audio amplifier. On top of this, there is picture-in-picture and split-screen image control for home theater and commercial use. Additionally, there is the option of including a swivel table top stand, wall mount bracket, and black or silver side mount speakers. Along with the Hitachi plasma monitors’ normal technology and seamless integration, it makes for a great flat tv.

The single drawback to the Hitachi Plasma Half Life 55-HDM71 is that it ships with “black enhancement on.” This means when you are watching the TV, there will be no detail in the dark scenes, but it is resolved easily enough. Along with screen savers that employ orbiting, inverting and wiping to refresh the screen, there are also many other options to maximize the life on this plasma TV.

MILLIONAIRE showers with LADYbug! © 2004 Stephan Ducharme

Stephan Ducharme here,

Here is how to attain freedom with your PC!

This short story will make you realize that you are so close to
freedom if you have a PC (which is obviously the case). So let
me show you how to reach freedom with it:

This morning, there was a Ladybug in the shower floor.

I looked at it and it made me realize that most people are in
the same situation as that Ladybug.

She felt secure on the floor … until I turned on the shower
and water started to fall on the floor. Then she got scared and
she flew on top of the shampoo bottle. But her wings could have
carried her out of the bathroom window. She could have flown
wherever she wanted. But like most people, we simply climb to
the closest step.

So what happened to her right after really scared me.

When the water started to bounce off my head onto the shampoo
bottle, she panicked and to my amazement, she flew back to the
floor where she once found security!!!

Don’t we do that?

So that is the reason why you haven’t succeeded yet!

The bottle of shampoo simply was not the right destination.

Are you doing the good thing online to make any money? 95% of
the websites you have seen don’t make money. If you copy them,
you won’t succeed and first thing you’ll know, you’ll be back to
your 8to5 job, frustrated!

You have seen lots of offers on how to make money with your PC,
but for having bought a lot of programs myself and for being
online for years, I know that very few teachers will show you
the correct and complete way. There exist 9 simple steps and if
I don’t show you each one, then it may take you years to
discover them on your own.

A man called me last week saying he has been online since 1998
and like a lot of people that have been online for many years,
he still hasn’t figured it out.

Once you have read my 9 steps, you will know where the window to
your freedom is.

Why You MUST Have A ‘My Yahoo!’ Page

Filed under: Plugging Things — admin at 11:16 am on Friday, March 14, 2008

Yahoo! allows you to set up your own front page called ‘My Yahoo!’. Even if you don’t use Yahoo! as your search engine, you need a My Yahoo! page which you log onto every day. That’s because having a My Yahoo! page that is set up correctly can do wonders for your search engine ranking.

My Yahoo! is a page which you can set up with your own features so that all the material you want is presented to you in a convenient format. You can have news, weather, your diary, your contact list, your share portfolio and a host of other bits and pieces of content. A nice, handy home page for you.

However, a My Yahoo! page can also include something called an RSS Feed. This is a technique called ‘Really Simple Syndication’ and it allows owners of web sites to push their content to viewers, without them having to go collect it by visiting their web site. It can be set up for any page, but is usually reserved for blogs. If you use blogging software or a system such as Blogger you can simply set up an RSS or XML ‘feed’ for your page. (XML - eXtended Markup Language - is another system for syndicating content.) People who want to keep up to date with your news can include your RSS feed in their list of interesting web sites and every time your page is updated, their information is updated as well. Hence you can deliver new information to people who might otherwise forget to revisit your site.

You can include RSS feeds within your My Yahoo! to help you keep up to date with news you want to receive. But there is an added advantage. Yahoo! itself monitors all the My Yahoo! web pages that are created and indexes their content. This means if your own web site’s RSS feed is listed in your My Yahoo! page you get automatic indexing of your web site. If you were to submit your site to Yahoo! you would either have to wait several weeks, or pay a fee to be considered for indexing. With a My Yahoo! page RSS feed, your pages will be indexed within hours.

So, here’s the process you need to follow. Firstly, set up a My Yahoo! page. All you need to do is visit Yahoo! and click on the My Yahoo! logo at the top right of the page.

Then set up your account and choose the kind of layout you want and the features you would like to include. If you are not going to use the My Yahoo! page you create as your main home page, don’t worry too much about this. The main purpose is to get your own web site indexed, so the design of your page is not important.

Now you want to add your RSS/XML feed. Click on the ‘Choose Content’ button at the bottom of your My Yahoo! page. Look at the ‘Wide Modules’ list and you’ll see ‘RSS Headlines (BETA)’ down at the bottom of the list. Don’t worry that it is in ‘beta’ stage - Yahoo! has been using it for well over a year. Select the option and click ‘Finished’. You will then have the option to choose your RSS feeds.

On the ‘Choose your RSS sources’ page simply type in the complete URL (web site address) of your feed. One of mine, for instance, is ‘http://www.infoselling.com/blog/atom.xml’. Your RSS feed will either be an ‘rss’ page or an ‘xml’ page. If you use Blogger and you haven’t set up such a feed, you can do so by visiting the ‘Settings’ page.

Click on the ‘Search’ button and Yahoo! goes off to find your feed. If it finds it successfully you can simply add the selected feed to your page. Click on ‘Finished’ and you’ll be back on your My Yahoo! page. That’s it. Whenever you update your blog your My Yahoo! page gets updated - assuming you log into regularly. You can get your My Yahoo! page updated automatically if you submit your blog at Ping-o-Matic.

One other thing - make sure your RSS feed page includes a ’sitemap’ - a link to a page which includes links to all the pages in your web site. Yahoo! will follow this sitemap link and start looking at all your other pages.

Having a My Yahoo! page is a quick and easy way to get your site indexed within Yahoo!. I tested it with one of my sites. I set up an RSS feed, loaded onto My Yahoo!’s RSS feeds and within three days all 287 pages of the web site had been indexed. With another site, I submitted it to the ‘Submit your site’ option at Yahoo! and several weeks later, still none of those pages have been listed by Yahoo! There is a clear reason to be using RSS feeds and having a My Yahoo! page.

Realtors, Get Your Next Listing Using a Geo Targeted Google Ad Campaign

Filed under: Plugging Things — admin at 2:24 pm on Sunday, March 9, 2008

Local buyers and sellers are actively searching for Realtors on the Internet. Studies show that these potential customers are serious when searching on the internet for real estate services. The problem is as a local Realtor you have to figure out how to get these customers to your real estate website, and you have to do it without breaking the bank.

Did you know that 74% of U.S. households use the Internet as an information source when shopping locally. 45% of local searchers have the intent of doing business locally. The percentage of people who use yellow page advertising decreased from 75% to 62% last year. If you’re one of the many Realtors who have a yellow page ad, it’s time to consider buying a smaller ad and shifting your marketing dollars to the Internet.

As a local Realtor, it’s hard to ignore these facts. If you want to compete in your local real estate market you must have an internet presence where your customers are searching. Google’s local, or “geo targeted’ pay per click marketing can put your real estate website on the first page of Google where your future customers are searching.

In a professionally created Google pay per click advertising campaign keyword phrases are used to trigger your ads when someone searches using that phrase. An example of a keyword phrase that might be used would be “real estate in Glens Falls”. When someone types in this keyword phrase your ad, pointing to your real estate website, would be displayed. Chances are you will also see ads for your competitors on the same page. The cost per click for ad positioning on this page may be somewhat competitive.

Now, this is where “geo targeting” comes in to play. A professional pay per click marketer would never use the phrase “real estate” for your pay per click campaign. Imagine all the people on the internet that type in “real estate” everyday. Your ad would show thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of times per day to people who are not searching for real estate in your area. Some of them will click on your ad costing you money.

However, when implementing a “geo targeted” pay per click advertising campaign, you can use a general keyword like “real estate”. It has also been my experience that the cost for that same click is much lower in a “geo targeted’ campaign.

Here’s why. When setting up your “geo targeted” campaign I use your physical address. Then I tell Google what the ’search radius” for this campaign will be. You can go out 5 miles, ten miles, or 100 miles. You decide how far you would travel from your location to do business. It’s entirely up to you. Google will then serve your ad only to searchers within that “search radius”. Now for the best part, your competition did not bid on the keywords “real estate”, he is bidding on “real estate in Glens Falls”. He does not have a separate “geo targeted’ campaign set up. So, there is a lot less competition in your “geo targeted” advertising campaign, hence, you pay less per click. In fact you pay a lot less. My Realtor customers save about 50% per click as opposed to all the other pay per click campaigns out there.

They also gobble up lots of local business right in their back yard. So, how do you promote your real estate website? Remember, real estate agents will not be replaced by technology, they will be replaced by the agents who use technology to their advantage.
